Vacation time is over, sadly, but it is good to get back to a normal routine. Training time is on the horizon once more which I am sure the dogs will enjoy. They need to have a challenge on a regular basis. Bruno has grown a lot in the last month he now weighs in at 60lbs-- Maxi closely following at 55lbs. While our two year old grand daughter was here for three weeks they behaved very well indeed. The worst thing they wanted to do and continued to try to do was lick her face. She is a feisty little girl and got the 'don't lick me' command to a very assertive level, so much so, that they actually listened to her:)
On the down side we have had some nasty experiences with aggressive dogs at the dog park---the down side of an otherwise good socialization time. It is hard to understand why owners cannot accept that their dogs are NOT playing, they are being seriously aggressive. One dog had Maxi's lip gripped tightly in it's mouth--the owner? Fixed to her cell phone oblivious as to what was going on!! Beware of dog parks they can be dangerous.
